Beach Holiday and Family Entertainment

The Cost Blanca and the area around Torrevieja abounds in a large number of safe and family friendly fun days out. Local Blue flag beaches include Guardamar and La Mata and many others are dotted along the coast. These are accessible within twenty minutes journey and vary between traditional resorts with all the usual expected facilities and secluded clear beaches.

Centres of family entertainment include:

Torrevieja. Several family beaches with a developed promenade of cafes, restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours. All the facilities are here with plenty of shops and a marina.

Santa Pola. A pretty town with a port that provides numerous great boat trips along the coast and out to Tabarca Island. On the outskirts of the town you can visit salt mines in a natural park where at the end of the summer up to 3000 pink flamingos gather prior to migration. An incredible sight.

Alicante. A real Spanish city infrequently visited by European tourists and wisely kept secret by the Spanish. A good beach, Santa Barbara Castle to climb or access by the lift and plenty of restaurants welcoming every family where children are adored. You can find large department stores and individual shops winding around the old quarter.

Benidorm. Everything said about Benidorm is likely to be true! However, there are some great facilities to take families too. They include Aqualandia Water Amusement Park, where slides and water chutes will be a delight for many and hammocks and loungers are there to watch from. Mundomar (Seaworld) Marine Animal Park will give a whole days entertainment to include dolphin and seal shows, jungle rides and the glass bottom boat trips will be memorable.
